More of us

Here's our little stinker in the bathroom, his favorite playroom.

Isabelle and Soren being cute...

The girls ran the Tiger Fun Run at Klein Collins again this year. Soren tried also to participate... :-)

Spring already

Poor blog. It's been a busy couple of months, although I'm not sure what I have to show for it! Still putting our house together, keeping the kids busy and watching Clark chunk out into a nice solid toddler who has most certainly busted past his 50th percentile height and weight. It could just be my sore arms talking. We've had some visits from Auntie Erin and Nana! My mom hasn't been here since Clark was born, so it was so great to see her again and for the kids to get the time with her.

Mom just bought that coat she is wearing, and didn't think she'd have to actually wear it here! It actually got cold a bit for awhile...

Erin and the kids had a great time with the xbox kinect kids dance games. SO much fun!

"Hiking" in Pundt Park. And there's Soren's plastic sword stuck down his pants. Next time I'll be sure to equip him with a belt and sheath...

Halloween

We actually made some decorations this year, after constant "encouragement" from the girls :-) Isabelle found many ideas from familyfun.com, which is where we got the instructions for these bats we made with little pumpkins. So much fun to make together, and looked great on our mantel. I also made the wooden pumpkins at a Relief Society Super Saturday.

And the costumes!! Everyone loved their costumes and had a lot of fun dressing up for the couple of parties we went to as well as trick-or-treating on the day... Soren was the cutest little batman ever, look at him on his trike in the last picture--he ditched it early on in the trick-or-treating as it slowed him down :-) Clark was the perfect little Superman. I plan to make that his costume every year until he figures out that other kids aren't always the same thing every year. How can I not? He's got Superman's name!

Some stuff

I ran my first half marathon!!! October 23. Here I am before the race with my running pals, Alison Morriss and Elena Rodriguez, my old neighbors. It was hilly and turned out to be a lot harder than my training had prepared me for! But I'm glad I did it, it was a great experience. I might stick with 10K races in the future :-)

Soren and Clark here, so cute! We go for bike rides sometimes around the lake in our subdivision and feed the ducks...

Cora is so cute here - she has lately been obsessed with multiplication. She'll write out on paper or chalkboard any ones she knows. They aren't teaching it yet in 1st grade of course, but she's been learning it from Isabelle!

Soccer!

Isabelle and Soren have started soccer. The first games a couple of weeks ago we had a couple of cousins along (Marin and Stuart), which made it great fun. And helped in the chaos of Soren's many meltdowns. Yesterday was Soren's third game and it couldn't have been more different than the first. No crying when someone took the ball away, no falling to the ground when he it wasn't his turn on field, and no wandering off. Now I've just got to get him to focus on the game, instead of running down the field and smiling and waving at us. He did get a goal though! It was the most perfect moment: he dribbled the ball down, got past a couple of kids and kicked it right in. We all clapped and you could hear his little three-year old voice shout: "I did it!"
