Cora's version

So, over Christmas the girls loved singing Christmas songs, especially Away in a Manger. Every time Cora saw a nativity scene, whether it be on someone's lawn or on the cover of a book or some other picture she would break out in the song. No matter where we were or if we were suppose to be quiet :-)

Several times in church we sang "Angels We Have Heard on High." The chorus (Gloooooooooria...) is easy to catch on to, so both girls really loved that part. Neither of them could remember how the verses went, so they mumbled or lala'd a bit before the chorus and then veritably shouted the chorus. After a few times Cora came up with this filler, mostly monotone, "there once was a little girl who saw a man..." then perfectly in tune, "Gloooooooooooria, in excelcius deo, etc." Brad and I just can't get over how funny it sounds, even so much they we are singing it that way too around the house.

(posted by Kira, even though it says Brad :-) )
